Credit Union School Quiz Final 2026

The Pennyburn Credit Union School Quiz journey reached an incredible milestone this year. The National Final took place on Saturday 19th April at the RDS in Dublin.

We were so unbelievably proud to see St. Paul’s Primary and Nursery School pupils, Lochlainn, Ryan, Sophie and Seamus, represent Pennyburn Credit Union on the National stage. Having progressed through the local and regional rounds, these four brilliant pupils earned their place among the very best, competing against an impressive 58 teams from across Ireland 😮🧠

Even reaching the National Final was a massive achievement in itself and a particularly special moment for us, as it marked the first time Pennyburn Credit Union has ever been represented independently at this level.

It was a tough and competitive quiz, but the team rose to the challenge. They showed incredible knowledge and teamwork throughout the quiz, finishing in the Top 20 with an impressive joint 18th place, scoring a brilliant 29 points which is an outstanding achievement on the national stage.

To round off an already unforgettable day, the team even managed to grab a quick photo with ILCU President Brendan Jenkins 📸

Our very own Laura was there on the day cheering them on, alongside their proud parents and families, creating an amazing atmosphere of support.

A huge well done again to the brainy bucnh who are – Lochlainn, Ryan, Seamus and Sophie – you did yourselves, your school and your community incredibly proud. And at Pennyburn Credit Union, we are just over the moon for you all!
