Celebrating our members on International Credit Union Day

Last week, we celebrated International Credit Union Day, a global event that recognises the incredible impact credit unions have on their communities. This year’s theme, “One World,” perfectly encapsulated our mission of fostering financial inclusion and building brighter futures together. We couldn’t think of a better way to honour our members who have supported us over the past 58 years.

On Saturday, we did our absolute best to show members just how much we appreciate them. With warm cups of tea, the famous Doherty’s buns, and a huge selection of delicious tray bakes, it was a much-needed treat on a blustery day. The laughter of our members filled the room and families enjoyed sweet cones, pick n’ mixes and a few buns. It really was such a lovely atmosphere!

As the day went on, we hosted spot prizes, giving away an exciting mix of goodies. Including café vouchers, dinner vouchers, and even hotel vouchers too! Members that called into our Springtown office got the chance to enter into a draw for a dinner voucher. Each prize brought smiles and joy to our members and it was a really wholesome day being able to give back and say “thank you.” Amidst the excitement, we managed to snap a few photographs of our young, and young at heart members, enjoying their day.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our members once again. Your support means the world to us and we are so grateful to have such an incredible membership. Here’s to many more years of serving our community, creating memories, and celebrating our achievements together.
