Meet Our Local Art Competition Winners!
At Pennyburn Credit Union, we recently held our annual Art Competition, and WOW, what an amazing showcase of talent we witnessed!
This year’s theme, “The Joys of Life,” inspired artists of all ages to grab their brushes, markers, pencils and crayons and create stunning masterpieces. With a little friendly competition and cash prizes at stake, our community did not disappoint!
Choosing our winners was no walk in the park, my days of watching endless episodes of Art Attack wouldn’t stand a chance against the entries we received. The creativity and skill of all participants were phenomenal! From vibrant landscapes to the cutest interpretations of life’s joys, each piece truly reflected the spirit of our theme. We’re incredibly proud to announce our local winners and those who received first place will move on to represent us at the Regional level. First place winners at the Regional level (Chapter Stage) will then compete on a national platform, where their artwork will be judged by the Irish League of Credit Unions. How exciting is that?!
So folks, let’s give a massive round of applause to our talented local artists!
In the Aged 7 and Under category Emily McDaid took home the top spot, followed closely by the incredible Michael Morrison and Isla McDaid.
For the Aged 8-10 Inclusive group, Cody Barton snagged first place, with Corey McDaid right behind. Chloe Barton emerged as the winner in the Aged 11-13 Inclusive category.
Daemon Boyda went top with first place in Aged 14-17 category and Emmet Glenn followed close behind claiming second place. Last but certainly not least, Anthony McLaughlin won first place in the Aged 18 & Over category!
We can’t express enough how grateful we are to everyone who participated in this year’s competition! Your creativity and enthusiasm truly bring our community to life. A big thank you to all our members for supporting this event also. We had an absolute ball celebrating with you all and can’t wait for next year’s competition!
